This place just keeps getting better. The service from all aspects - from valet, to check in, to each of the staff members at the restaurants and pool area - just phenomenal. The mineral pool is amazing but they just added a sauna in that area that takes the cake - you overlook the ocean and it’s just stunning. A wonderful place to stay with your partner or friends if you’re looking for a place to relax. Super close to downtown Victoria to hang out if you want - but this is an annual vacation spot for me. Love this place!

This was our first time staying at Oak Bay Hotel, and it was a wonderful experience. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by the manager, who even surprised our baby with an adorable toy dog that he absolutely loved. The room was very comfortable, and the hotel itself was immaculate. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Although we didn’t stay long enough to explore all that the hotel has to offer, we’ll definitely be booking here again next time we’re in Victoria. Highly recommend!

My friend and I stayed for two nights and were very impressed with the Oak Bay Beach Resort. From the valets to the front desk, pool, spa, and restaurants, the staff were warm, welcoming, helpful, and personable. There were so many highlights. The rooms were comfortable, well appointed, and because the hotel had checked in advance, my friend’s bed was all plumped up with the pillows she preferred. I loved the mini kitchen, the soaker tub, the plush robes, the lighted make up mirror, and the perfect mattress.
The warm mineral pool and hot tubs were perfectly set against the ocean views.
We enjoyed our two-night stay and would highly recommend any locals looking for a warm, friendly, classy getaway to book immediately!

We ate at The Snug and Faro - excellent service and please check my review of Faro, as well. Outstanding!

I really enjoyed staying at this hotel. I really appreciated how well equipped the rooms were. I loved the quality of the products used and the bathrobes.
What I think would have made it excellent for me was more knowledgeable staff at reception and a more personal touch (customer care). I had mentioned in my reservation that it was going to be my gift for my husband’s birthday, asking for an earlier check in. I never got the acknowledgement of my special request, and there was no personal touch gesture in our room. Typically, we would see at least a happy birthday note. That was a bit disappointing as it would have made that day a bit more special for my beloved.
Additionally, it was disappointing to discover that the hotel had no business centre or quiet rooms one could use for work meetings. My husband and I both had to have a few business meetings during our stay and sharing one desk in the room was very inconvenient for both of us.
The mineral pools made it all worth it for me. Fantastic views, perfect water temperature, not overcrowded (before dinner).
All the staff at the restaurants are lovely; top notch service!
All in all, I would recommend this hotel for special occasions, but wouldn’t expect the staff to go above and beyond to make the stay extra special for you.
Also, wouldn’t recommend it for business travel or a working holiday when both partners need to work at the same time.

4 Star hotel with 5 star prices. We really liked it a number of years ago, but it’s been going downhill ever since. It’s not maintained very well. Only one of the hot tubs works properly. There were at least three burned out lightbulbs in the pool area.
We ended up cutting our last trip short as the spa was closed.
Also, I wish they had a Proper dining room. They have a pub and a pizza place. The pub is OK but the food varies in quality depending on the chef, and the wait staff could use some better training. The pizza place is way overpriced for what you get.
They used to have good staff That would recognize us when we came in. Now every time we go, it’s always different people.
Fairly nice hotel but just not 5 star.
